NOTE ON THE MIDTERM EXAM:  The midterm will be three essay questions, from which you can choose any two.  From Chapter 3, you should be prepared to write about Social Process Theories;  from Chapter 5, about the three levels of law enforcement; and from Chapter 6, Operational Strategies.
